Program Components for online/In Classroom:

This is a break-down of the following services:

Private One to One Tutoring

To break down the components a little further, Collate Education for Mississippi will offer Academic Tutoring. Each student will receive 2 days per week at 2 hours per day some Saturdays are available. The tutoring will offer curriculum based materials aligned with public and private schools. The teachers are qualified to tutor on IEP’s and or basic lesson plans and individual assessments will be implemented.

ABE/GED Program

Our ABE/GED Program operates very similar to the Tutoring Program. A locator test will be implemented to measure the grade level of each student. Afterwards, we plan, prepare and teach. Each student’s time schedule is 1 to 2 days per week for 2 hours. The actual GED Test will be given at a local school or university. The advantage of the GED Preparation class is to adhere to different learning disabilities and set a path for learning. The student will have private preparation for their GED. Therefore, they can ask questions without feeling inadequate. You may also enter into our program with a certificate. The age requirement is 17 years or older. Life skills are applied during this course. For example, resume’s, balancing your check book, public speaking, dress for your success etc.

Director’s Day Care Training

Thinking about opening your own daycare? Well come see us! We provide a 5 month or less training program for your director’s license. We require our candidates (students) to gain 480 hands on experience to pass our training program. The state of Mississippi requires an individual 2 years of experience to open a licensed facility. We help assist in getting you that training. You are not required to be employed with a day care upon registration however; you will need the experience that is required from us and your state for day care license approval. We also do renewals once your original certificate from the council has expired. Your renewal is due three years after your initial certificate.

Teacher Staff Development

After a licensed day care center has opened, each individual state requires contact hours to operate a facility. These contact hours are training hours for your facility’s staff and volunteers employed by your day care. The hours are mandatory to keep your facility open along with the renewals of your day care certificates. A lot of centers utilize our services to keep from traveling, if they miss a free workshop and if the state is inspecting their day care and time is not on their side! Some of our workshops are Numerical Zone for Preschoolers, Healthy Me, and Coordinating Lesson Plans for Preschoolers and etc.

State Approved Nutrition Program

This is new program we are launching for August of 2017. This program should provide healthy meal counts for licensed day care centers. We will implement training in nutrition for day care centers that qualify and At Risk Youths in day care center specified locations. More details will be available later.

Our programs will have measurable impact on participant’s outcomes. Positive youth outcomes will include: greater self -control, assertiveness, healthy and adaptive life-styles, coping in peer pressure situations, improvements in school attendance (truancy), improvement in parental relations, improvement in academic performance and improvement in substance use.

The adults will identify reasonable, realistic and measurable short and long term goals after their assessments. They will also acquire greater study skills and feel relaxed in performing   those skills. The staff at the day care centers will gain a lot of healthy educational experiences.
